The trial to answer important aspirin question
Sapphire Coast GP, Dr Duncan Mackinnon, told a journalist in an interview for the Bega District News, that ASPREE would give GPs answers to questions about daily low-dose aspirin in healthy older adults.
“It (ASPREE) will answer if aspirin is good to take, or not good to take – whether it’s protective or not,” he said.
Dr Mackinnon is one of more than 2000 registered GP associate investigators to ASPREE, the largest clinical trial ever conducted in general practice in Australia.
