FOR PARTICIPANTS: Important information about ASPREE-XT and the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
In light of public health recommendations to help slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the community, ASPREE-XT will be temporarily replacing annual face-to-face study visits with a phone call. This decision, which took effect as of Monday 23rd March 2020, will continue until further notice.
We will be aiming to call each participant around the time that you are due for a face-to-face annual study visit. You will receive a phone call from our team to arrange a convenient date and time for us to call back. At the arranged date and time, one of our study team will call you and conduct as much of the study visit as possible over the phone. The call will take around 20-30 minutes.
The usual annual questionnaires, which ask about your wellbeing and physical ability, may be answered during the phone call or completed and returned in a reply-paid envelope after the call. Physical measures, such as your blood pressure, will be on hold until we see you again in person.
It is unknown when face-to-face ASPREE-XT study visits will resume. In the meantime, please accept our sincere thanks in advance for contributing to ASPREE-XT health and ageing research via the phone.
If you need to contact ASPREE-XT please call 1800 728 745. You may be asked to leave a message, including your phone number. Our team will return calls as soon as they can.
The entire ASPREE-XT team thanks you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you in person, at study visits in the future!
